Visit a Cenote in Coba

If you are intrepid enough to climb the highest pyramid of the Riviera Maya, the reward will be one of the most impressive panoramic views of the area. More than 40 meters high, Nohoch Mul, which in Mayan means “big mound,” is the highest pyramid in the Yucatán peninsula.

Coba translates into Spanish as “water stirred by the wind.” Between the years 400 and 1100 of our era, this was one of the largest cities of the period Classic Maya period, reaching about 50 thousand inhabitants. One of the main reasons why it was settled here were two small lakes that supplied the population with water.

Walk under the shade of the treetops wrapped in the sounds and the green color of the jungle. In addition, you can reach the pyramid by walking or cycling to improve your experience.

To counteract the heat, we will go to the crystal clear waters of the Choo-Há cenote. This cenote is perfect for snorkeling lovers thanks to its circular shape and depth of 10 meters. Plus it is illuminated by natural light, which makes it look spectacular.
