During the Middle Ages, Florence was an important cultural, economic, and financial center, and its streets originated in the second half of the fourteenth century, the Renaissance. The city is replete with history, art, philosophy, and science, and there are samples of this in every corner.
To make sure you don’t miss anything essential, your guide takes you on a tour full of curiosities and interesting facts that allow you to admire Piazza del Duomo, Mercato Nuovo, Piazza della Repubblica, or Palazzo Strozzi. You walk over the Vecchio Bridge, and from there you reach the Palazzo Vecchio. You have some free time to eat on your own and taste the typical Panzanella or Panino col lampredotto.
If you want to make the most of your time in Florence, you can book the option that includes tickets to Galleria dell’Accademia and see Michelangelo’s David up close. This part is not guided, but our team takes you to the entrance to the monument.
After the lunch break, you return to the bus to go to Pisa. Upon arrival, you go to Piazza dei Miracoli, declared a World Heritage Site, where the Pisan Romanesque style cathedral is located. In this same square, you have the opportunity to take the famous photo next to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Before returning to the bus back to Rome, you have some time to explore on your own and see up close the Battistero di San Giovanni and the Angelo Caduto.
